02.18.07 Travel Plans

We leave for Guangzhou (formerly 'Canton') on Wed., February 21.

We fly from Marion, IL to St. Louis, and then on to Los Angeles.

Our flight on China Southern Airlines is scheduled to leave LAX at 2 am CST. Fifteen hours later we arrive in Guangzhou on Friday, Feb. 23, at 6 am China time (4 pm Thursday CST).

We will stay the entire time in Guangzhou at the White Swan Hotel on Shamian Island. We are privileged to stay there because it is apparently one of the nicer hotels in China. The Guangzhou Travel Guide describes the White Swan as 'splurge.'

We meet our new daughter, Molly Marie, on Sunday, Feb. 25. We can't wait. She is from Maoming, which is in the lower left of the map.
